Welcome to our website, let me tell you something about us, we are Lynne and Alistair Holmes we live on the Hampshire/Wiltshire border with our 5 Dobermanns. We are a small kennel and show not only in England but Europe as well with great success. Lynne has also just started training Schutzhund with Luther.
At Tronjheim we are proud to be breeding Dobermanns that are capable of either showing, film work, agility or Schutzhund, but always as companions first and foremost. We breed for strong, healthy and sound dogs. We have bred 3 litters using the Aritaur affix.
Lynne has been involved with Dobermanns since 1980 having got her first Dobe as a wedding present from her first husband. James was from the Tinkazan kennel here in Hampshire and he travelled to live in Germany for 2 years and came back to the UK but unfortunately he had to go into quarantine when Lynne returned to England. While James was in kennels along came 2 more Dobes in quick succession both dogs were from rescue. Then Lynne rescued 2 more 1 Dobe was never enough !!!!!
After a few years I married Alistair soon after our marriage we got a Border Collie called Barney from Collie Rescue, but life wasnt the same without my beloved Dobes so once again we rehomed a Dobe from the Marcavie kennel, her name was Maco the sweetest Dobermann we have ever owned.We purchased a male from Marjorie Stetchfield of the Marcavie kennel, Marcavie The Hoodlum (Zakk) and that is where my passion for the show ring started.
We then met Jackie and Victoria Ingram we were very fortunate to be able to purchase our next Dobermann from them,they were a small kennel that was just starting out and from this now very successful kennel we got our outstanding foundation bitch Jojavik Save The Last Dance 3RCCs (Tikka),and what a showgirl she turned out to be, her showing career was very successful never out of the cards throughout her showing career.We will always be grateful to Jackie and Victoria for allowing Tikka to rule the roost and own us.
We decided to breed from Tikka as Lynne wanted another show dog and we kept a bitch from that litter. Kastra unfortunately didnt like the showing side of life so she relaxes at home with her mother (Tikka) and of course little piglet as Luther is known at home. Kastra has been trained to do agility and has done film work and she appeared in the series of Merlin.
We then decided to mate Tikka as Lynne still wanted her show dog and we produced our outstanding brown male Luther aka A Warlord at Tronjheim, Luther has fortunately taken after his mothers side for his looks and movement he has got his substance and bone from the European and a little bit of English for his elegance. Although Luther is registered in the Aritaur affix as is Kastra,the Aritaur kennel DID NOT breed Luther or Kastra as some would like you to believe they did, as we bred them ourselves using their affix as we didnt have our own at that time. Luther has had an outstanding first year in the show ring gaining his first CC at 15 months at the same time gaining his JW. Luther also won his first RCC at 20 months and his second at 21 months, and not forgetting his CACL at 19 months, he has won numerous BPIB + BOB + Group placings, what a star!!!!!!
Finally we purchased our last Dobermann Blitz from our very good friends Pauline and Richard Rose from the Jasburg kennel, they had bred their first litter using the outstanding CH Jojavik Mafioso JW (Kodi) to their stunning girl Aritaur Rhapsody of Jasburg (Chelsea). From this mating they produced our stunning Jasburg Tiriana at Tronjheim a mating which combined the best English and European bloodlines that definetly worked. I never had any intentions of getting another Dobermann but had a telephone call from Pauline to ask me to come and see her litter so I went up and viewed the litter at 5 weeks and I was blown away with the quality of this litter and especially pick of bitches(Blitz). I think so highly of the JOJAVIK bloodlines I was thrilled in having the chance of obtaining more via Blitz and she was of such quality and had the bloodlines that interested me (as my foundation bitch is from the Jojavik kennel) that I said I would love to own her and Pauline agreed to allow her special girl to come and live with us here at Tronjheim, she settled in straight away forming a bond with Luther and to this day she runs him ragged and sleeps with him on our bed!!!!!!! Blitz started her Schutzhund training alongside Luther at the tender age of 10 weeks, she has tremendous drives and is showing great promise for the future in the sport. We will always be indebted to both Pauline and Richard for entrusting us with their very special girl.
We aim to improve our breeding using the best dogs available at stud that would complement our bitches. Our intention is to produce a Dobermann that is sound in temperament, health, mind and conformation. We have on average 1 litter per year breeding for strong and healthy puppies, our puppies are raised in the home with love and 24 hour care, they will be raised around children, they will be ear tattooed and will have 4 weeks free insurance and a puppy pack with lifetime support.
